From a 1998 move to Wilmington to a boutique firm of his own.

  1. 1998

    Arrives in Wilmington

    Raised in Cary, NC, Chad moves to Wilmington and falls in love with the city instantly.

  2. Graduation

    University of North Carolina Wilmington

    After graduating from UNCW, Chad decides Wilmington will be home going forward.

  3. 2006

    Enters public accounting

    Chad joins a local CPA firm and begins building relationships with Wilmington business owners.

  4. 2013

    Becomes tax partner

    Seven years in, Chad is named Tax Partner — and starts forming a clear view of the advisory relationship clients actually need.

  5. 2020

    Founds the firm

    Chad launches Chad Wouters, CPA, PLLC to develop a more boutique approach to CPA services — personal access, year-round involvement.
